The Paediatric floor has been specially planned to attend children. The overall design, the colours, the games and the decorations have been selected for the children to be hospitalised in the pleasantest and least frightening surroundings possible.

Experienced and fully integrated teams of paediatricians and nurses look after the child throughout the hospitalisation. Although each child may have his/her own primary care doctor, the ward has a permanent support team for each child’s overall treatment.

Neonatal Unit

The Neonatal Unit has the latest generation equipment – basic, intermediate and for intensive care - for the treatment of newborn babies.

The human resources in the technical and medical areas are specially trained to look after babies and have much experience in this area.

The presence of parents is coordinated by the staff to get the most out of it, “loving support” is extremely important for both the babies and the staff looking after them.

There is also a Lactarium so that mothers with babies in the Unit can extract milk and conserve it there.

Preparation for Operations

The Children’s Corner has prepared an explanatory video and arranges a tour of the appropriate areas for the child and his/her family to see and understand what will happen on the day of the operation, as well as to familiarize them with the surroundings.
